Poker Ride 2021

The return of the Poker Ride was very successful and fun. Despite somewhat foggy conditions, we had a good turnout and everything went pretty smoothly.

We started at the Lengthwise Marketplace, operated by Susan Rizo, Terese Melbar, Susan Searey, Mike Daniel, Veronica Bisbee, and others.  The ride went out via the bike path to Stockdale Hwy, then followed that to the Enos Lane intersection where Kerry Macaulay and her husband Robert were set up to allow the riders to pick cards going out then back from the Tule Elk Reserve. Joe Watkins was manning the Tule Elk location that served as a card pick location and offered restrooms, water, and a view of the Elks when they cooperated.

Upon returning to the Lengthwise Marketplace start location, riders picked their last cards to finish their poker hand.

After all riders had returned, we had the 50/50 drawing that awarded the winner with 50% of the “pot” that they had purchased tickets for. Then we awarded the gift cards for the winning poker hands.

Congratulations to Donna Henderson, Luis Bravos, Dagmar Alexanderssen, and Randy Garrett.

Thanks go to all of the volunteers and riders that participated in the event.
