Annual New Year's Day Ride

Riders should meet at Beach Park by 8:45ish to prepare for a photo opportunity and a mass start beginning at 9am. Kern Wheelmen will provide snacks and drinks at the top of Round Mountain.
What a great opportunity to celebrate 2022 with something you love and with people who share your enthusiasm for cycling and adventure! Make the rest of the ride whatever you like-turn around and head back down to Beach Park, or continue on wherever your ambition and desire takes you on this first day of a New Year!

Ride through CALM Christmas lights ride
CALM10500 Alfred Harrell Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93306, USAIt might not be a White Christmas this year, but…there’s always a chance, and if you like to bundle up on your bike, then you won’t want to miss riding through the lights at CALM. On Sunday, January 2nd, cyclists have been invited to ride through the Christmas Lights at CALM! The price is $10 a rider and what a wonderful opportunity to see this beautiful display in a truly fun and wintery way!
Purchase a ticket (cash or card) with Bike Bakersfield staff at Hart Park so we can support our local zoo!

Bathrooms at CALM will not be available. Please prepare accordingly!

Wreath Removal at the National Cemetery 2022
Bena Shell1631 Comanche Dr, Bakersfield, CA 93307, USAWe have the honor of assisting in removing the wreaths that were laid on the markers at the National Cemetery (at 30338 E Bear Mountain Blvd) in 2021.
I have offered up to 25 volunteers. Let’s make this happen and honor our veterans!
We will start out a ride at Bena Shell (1631 Comanche Dr, Bakersfield, CA) at 8:15 am. The N.C. doesn’t open until 10am.
We will have a SAG vehicle to carry coats, shoes, etc. so you won’t have to walk in your cleats.
After we finish, we will return to Bena Shell. The SAG vehicle will be there so you can pick up your gear.
