New Years Day 2024

The day started at 10am at Beach Park. The air was cold and crisp. Riders began showing in groups and singles. By the start time we had 113 riders ready to start the New Year. I waved them off on time and they departed toward the summit of Round Mountain, where the Kern Wheelmen had set up tables, shelters, and goodies. This year the station was ably handled by Christopher Rupple and Tim West. The selection of snacks was perfect, and the hot coffee and chocolate were warming and delicious. Thanks to all of the riders that attended and made this one of the best NYD in recent years.
