In spite of a little rain and cold, 5 brave riders took on the Blossom Ride starting Reedley, CA. More members were signed up, but the rain and colder temperatures kept them away.
There was light rain all the way until the top of the climb from Wonder Valley. While re-grouping at the top, we were intermittently either sleeted or hailed upon. Nothing too big.
After we stopped at an old SAG location, which wasn’t there this year, we hung around a convenience store to warm up. The descents were pretty chilly!
Upon leaving, the sun began to break out. The warmth was invigorating. Entering the next valley, the vistas became superb with green and flowers everywhere. Please view the attached photos.
This event occurs the first week of March every year and is a major fundraiser for the Reedley Lions club.
